Go to top view and select the Patriarch again.  You will see its roll handle, pointing forward.  Go to frame 1, and jiggle the roll handle the littlest bit, just to set a keyframe. Now go to frame 30 and turn the roll-handle counter-clockwise until the right leg is well out in front of the body.

Now move the right foot target forward and in, so that it is ahead of the left leg.  Rotate it so that it faces slightly more forward.

Move the Pelvis forward between the two legs.  Rotate it so that it faces slightly more forward, but not as much so as the right foot.

Rotate the Torso's roll handle so that the shoulders are lined up roughly forward.   Move the Hand targets so that the hands are in a reasonable position in front of the shoulders.

Already, if you scrub the animation, you can see the rudimentary pivot-step.  There are many ways to improve this motion, but the most elementary is to apply a goodly dose of slow-in/slow-out to it.

Click on the Plus to the left of the Patriarch channel, to see its individual sub-channels.  Double-click the Roll channel to bring up just that one sub-channel in a channel window.  Now just apply Slow-in/slow-out to the channel as you are accustomed to doing.

If you scrub through the action now, you will see that it is substantially more believable (although still a long way from looking smooth and perfect).

Well, congratulations!  You have completed the Dabble level Pivot tutorial.  Post your animation to the mailing list for commentary!
