Dojo Project

Main Entry: do.jo
Pronunciation: 'dO-(")jO
Etymology: Japanese dOjO, from dO way, art + -jO ground

A school for training in various arts, generally those of self-defense

The Dojo Project is founded on a simple principle.  Animating is hard enough:  learning it shouldn't be even harder.  In these pages, I try to provide everything that you could need to learn animation, from models to animate, to exercises to sharpen your skills, all the way to a support group of helpful online folks to comment on your progress.  The context is the teaching of martial arts animation, but I think you'll find that the lessons carry over into all genres.

Some people might not like the idea of rigidly defined exercises for training.  That's OK.  You don't have to do them.  For those who like a little bit of structure in an otherwise chaotic world, I've done my best to provide you with help.  Read on, and enjoy!
